Thats what Triumph recommends, I use mid-grade. The '92 883 Sportster Deluxe that I bought new was sold after eight months of riding. The engine wasn't rubber mounted and vibrated like crazy at 70mph. You won't have that issue with an America. Currently have 47,000 miles on an '05. Very pleased with it. You won't regret getting it.
