That's what I thought too. why get upset about it.
The only area I can think of the Bird as an upgrade is in long-distance touring capabilities (less stressed engine, bigger gas autonomy, more planted etc.).
Plus an engine size which is closer (power-wise) to what some of us considered ideal e.g. 1200cc.
I like both for different reasons and my Speedy's long-distance touring days are over (as many here know, it has served me well).
