As the weather cools down (esp. in the AM) I put the roadster windscreen back on my TBA. Monday, 400 miles and about a week later, I was sitting at a stop light and noticed it was just a little crooked (turned just to the left )... then, I just could not stop noticing it, it was all I could see, that dang crooked windscreen.

Human nature is a funny, funny thing.

So this morning I took the whole two minutes needed to fix it before my morning commute.

AND NOW

I am sure that the bike ran better, rode better, and I am almost certain that people on the road were just nicer to me this morning. It was a good fix.

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

Yep, Thom. It seems by sheer chance that you've discovered one of Confucius' great teachings:

"Man with straight windshield have good feng shui all day."

(...well, I think it went somethin' like that anyway)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I generally prefer a little cinnamon with my feng shui, but that's just me. I realize it's a cultural foopah in some corners.

I also know an old sagebrush cowboy who prefers grape jam on his grits. Go figure?

What was the question again, straight windshields yes

Yep. Cinnamon on one's feng shui is fine, John. However, I certainly hope you don't ever take the easy route and make Instant Feng Shui. NO self-respectin' "simple country boy" EVER makes INSTANT Feng Shui, ya know!

(...my cousin Vinny once told me that)

Well , Thom , I perceive you're one of us OCD types that just HAVE to keep the fuel cap in the North/South orientation .

'Cept Bill out there with that East/West thing .

I do, but only cause when I picked mine up it was at 1 and 6 and chy reached over and "fixed" it. I am certain he said something about better gas mileage that way

Well duh! If you have it east west there is too much wind resistance.

That's me all over. Plus when I first got my bike the speedo wasn't quite level from side/side.. So it drove me nuts until I loosened the screws up and adjusted it. Now peace in my life. V.

My windscreen is cocked, wow, thinking about it now, that's about all that's not perfect with my 2005....Still completely stock, with the exception of the crappy saddlebags on her, but they're functional! 48,000 now on the odo, and runs sweeter than ever....
