I have a t-bird as well as my speedmaster and ride both of them a lot. I agree that are very different bikes and switching form one to the other is not a trade either way. However IHMO the t-bird is a far better 2 up bike than the s/m would ever be, and that is why I have it. And the s/m is still the faster of the 2.
