Hi...

I'm very much looking forward to spending some time here :-)

I've just paid for an immaculate 07 America with just 502 miles on the clock and almost every Triumph accessory already fitted.. Sad story behind the low mileage, but she's been under a cover in a garage from just two weeks old until now..

The bike is currently living less than 5 miles from the Hinckley factory..

I'll post some pics as soon as I can - in the meantime I'm organising transportation to bring her the 200miles or so back home, and then she'll be straight in to Three Cross for a service before anything else..

(and maybe gain some louder pipes while there! ;-) )

I can't wait!

:-)

Ben

A big welcome from Down Under to the Forum.

Fine lookin ride, but I have to agree something is amiss for the headers to have blued that quickly at 502 miles. Have these pipes been on another bike?

Welcome... hope to see plenty of you around here at time goes by. That's a pretty bike ya got there... might want to look into the bluing of the pipes. If I'm seeing things properly, the left side is bluer than the right? Bluing is expected on our bikes without the AI removed but yours does seem a tad over-blue (although hard to say from just pics). Anyway, pull the AI, clean up the pipes and they won't blue again. Otherwise know that our bikes run waaaaaaaay to lean right from the factory so be sure to address that concern ASAP.

Ask as many questions as you may have. We're all in this together!!!

Live to love, love to live.

Welcome, and congrats on the bike

The blueing might be down to the engine being run regularly while in storage. Just a thought

So where abouts in the UK? And are you coming to Dent next year?

Nice machine

Maybe it idled a lot while in storage and that's why the pipes are discoloured

Good find!

There's a Three Cross garage in Dorset.
Lovely part o' the world.
200 miles to Hinckley? Could well be actually.

Blue pipes are the least of his worries - if he's anywhere near the coast the salty sea air will rot this bike in no time

But I read somewhere that nowhere in the UK is more than 50 miles from the sea......are we all doomed to disintergration?
