The problem with loud pipes are the pipes face rearward. Not much worries about cagers behind you, but for those distracted by makeup cell phones you name it. Yet you have the control when in front, i.e., keeping them in your mirror you have the ability to accelerate swerve, etc.

The dearest need for an attention grabber are for those cages in front of you.

That said, loud pipes are effective attention devices for the cagers behind you. gives one another option other than steering, braking or stretching the throttle cables. Just love to down shift when in front a cell phone user. Down shift and maintain a safe leading distance! (about the only time I slow down ) D&D's resonate in cages! A visceral experience from what my wife says... She will not drive behind me when the D&Ds are on.
