I searched on google maps but it returned no results. The link doesn't have any actual information on the location of the event.

Ricren, how'd you do on the test? Have to get you and Satxron together and do a Hill Country tour.

I am not in doubt about the extistance of the rally. I was just looking for a location so I can plan a ride to it. Google maps didn't return any results for BMOA rally in New Ulma Texas. The Bmoa site didn't have any info on the link in the calender either, so I just needed an address

Why do you need an address when my google map link shows you a street intersection?

Fireman’s Park in New Ulm, TX is the Rally location.
From the East on FM 1094, when you get to New Ulm, turn left on FM 109, go one block past Schultz's store to Taylor St. Turn right, go down Taylor (aka Track Rd) approx. 1/2 mile. The entrance to Fireman's Park will be on the right.

my pleasure. Most small towns don't have proper addresses for 'parks'. And even if they do, chances are they are for a person at another location! or the address is a P.O. Box. Yet, ask anyone once there and they'll say go South on 17, turn left where the old feed and seed used to be. Then drive a while and hang a right where the old tar plant used to be... New Ulm, TX isn't even a town though! Every reference found regarding meeting at the Fireman's Park was just that. Meet at the Fireman's Park. No address was ever given. Without the www, all one could hope to do would be to locate New Ulm, TX on a paper map. Heck if a paper map of TX could even be purchased out of State! Of all the sites available to us, Google Maps is, imho, the better of the lot. Especially street view. Nothing like being able to literally see a road before deciding to use it in a route.

I do agree. one time I choose a road through the ozark mountains based on a line drawn on a paper map. some of the turnes were so tight I could bearly drag the band bus around them, and there was acually a section of the road that was gone. The ground under had eroded away and the road calapsed. Those were the days when a short cut could kill you, and the bus load of people with you.
