I used to use my full cover when I lived up north. When I would get home I would put it over just to the top of the fenders. Then wait for it to cool down and finish the job later. If you hook it just over the leading edge of the front fender it may work well for you. That way if you forget to go back to it, the painted areas and seat are still covered.
Totally covering a bike causes a lot of hot air under the cover, this may cause humidity and rust on some bits if not careful.
You should really only cover a cool or semi-cool bike.
