Hey guys I won first prize with my BSA C12 at a local show , I must say I was assisted by the bad weather that prevented alot of the more exotic bikes being taken out of their sheds. Here she is beside an ambulance just in case I was overcome with emotion.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

Soren, Wish the ambulance was mine, inside it was kitted out as a camper van, bunks, cooker, sink etc. The BSA I have had for about 4 years, I bought it as a runner and it was mostley complete, It was previousley restored and put back on the road in the 80s so I just had a tidy up with a few bodges in the wiring and wheel bearings, sort out the frame connections and the stand mountings, a few oil leaks here and there of course. Its not exactly a classic, just an old bike. The year is 1957 and its the last in the line of the C series 250cc single pre unit bikes It went C10 in the 40s to C11, C11G and finaly C12 was produced for 3 years up to 1958. the C15 unit construction came out then. It was a ride to work bike like I said not a racer, ( I have yet to find the brakes ) It was avalible with a chrome tank for extra, something to do with the Suez cannal made chrome scarce and fuel expensive. The Honda cub of its day. Most where abused to death by learners, so not meny around. Pictures here. BSA

Great memories come flooding back from 1972 when I was 17 and owned a 1957 BSA 250 (was it called a shooting star ?) Mine was marrone and cream in colour with crashbars . I still have the rego papers for it , my first registered road bike.

Thanks for the welcome . I have a couple of bikes but the flashest one is my Triumph Speedmistress 2007 model . I also have an 83 BMW K100 and a 72 Honda 750 . I bought the Triumph after the BMW developed a horrible noise (output shaft cush drive rubbers) I've also purchased a 1928 BSA with sidecar as a retirement project . How about yourself , what do you ride ?
