I remember betamax and my friend and I used to get together and watch 8mm movies every weekend when I was a kid.

Would you also need some flash powder for that camera?

(...or are you primarily going to be taking outdoor photos with that baby, "Ansel"?)

I could use some 127 for my old camera. I bought it for $1 with a detachable flash and hard case. That thing took great pix and still would. I bought it when I was a kid on vacation with my parents.

You work for a restaurant company for over 30 years. You go in the unit where you started in '79. A teen employee asks if you are Mr. Jones and proceeds to tell you that their mother worked for you when she was a teenager...

No, no, no boys! I've also been happily married to a great gal for the same amount of years! Although I've definitely hired plenty of attractive, ever increasingly younger girls over those years!

My Grandpa had some word of wisdom for me before he passed away. "Never a scrooge nor a a patsy be." And the best advice he gave to me I never really understood until I hit 65.

1--never pass up an opportunity to use the bathroom.

2--never waste a woody.

3--never trust a fart.

No 1 is excellent advice as I have had to rinse my drawers in the toilet water more than once when an eruption took place over which I had little control.

No 2 is also a good thing to keep in mind although it has been so long since I was in that condition I almost what it feels like.

No 3 is also very good.......see response to No 1.

And do not forget to buy clorox on your next trip to the market.

You know that a base player is supposed to stand his instrument on the floor.

You remember when Cecil was a sock puppet. Extra points if you remember what kind of critter Cecil was.

You used to watch Tom Corbit Space Patrol. sitting through the last half of Queen for a Day to make sure you didn't miss any of it.

You might be getting old when...

The ground keeps getting lower, and the print keeps getting smaller

Coffee and ibuprofen are usually within a matter of steps away

People mistake you for an eyeglasses collector

You hear the rumor that old people need less sleep,
and wish that would begin to happen for you

You might be getting old when...

You remember staring at this for about 10 minutes...

...every Saturday morning at sunrise and just before they took that image off your 13-inch Philco B/W TV set and replaced it with a picture of a 48-star Old Glory while hearing "The Star-Spangled Banner" being played, and then THAT image being replaced by a picture of hands clasped in prayer while the morning sermonette is being delivered by some reassuring voice....and ALL the while in hopes that FINALLY when THIS image...

...popped up on your 13-inch Philco B/W TV set, that the latest episode of The Heckle and Jeckle Cartoon Show won't be a friggin' rerun....or at least one you haven't seen before, anyway!

(...and yeah, I realize Heckle and Jeckle are in "Living Color" there, but I couldn't find me a B/W picture of 'em over this here "Inter-web"!!!)

You might be getting old when...

You sit in an antique car and as you buckle the lap belt, a sense of Déjà Vu settles upon thee.

Hey moe, sorry, but didn't you really mean to say, "...and as you reach to FIND the lap belt which doesn't exist, a sense of..."???

I mean you did say "antique car" here, didn't ya?! And no, a 1957 Dodge Coronet fitted with either the optional MOPAR factory installed lap belt(I'm guessin' that's about the time the Big Three started offerin' that particular option) or an aftermarket one, doesn't qualify as an "antique car", well, at least in the classic sense of the word, anyway!

(...yeah, I saw your last post over on that "Helmet" thread you started)

BTW moe, do ya have any pictures of that Coronet ya might've taken with that handy dandy camera of yours that takes all those really pretty pictures you post around here???

Yep, I'd like to see a few shots of that antique...err...I mean classic car you buckled yourself into the other day.

(...and seein' as how it's a MOPAR product, I got me a feelin' there's a guy livin' in charming Clovis New Mexico who'd like to see 'em too...I think you know how just the mention of any car featurin' a Torsion-Bar Suspension will grab that fella's attention, don't cha???)

??? My '51 Plymouth doesn't even have a place to attach any such thing.

Remember when the radio would hum for 30 - 45 seconds before it started working? Or tuning slightly off channel to reduce interference?

You prefer reading your 10-20-30-even 40(!) year old motorcycle
magazines to reading a new one because you think most new
bikes are crap. Or are good bikes with too much extra crap
stuck on.
