Well Rick, all I can say is IF your "friend's" motive was to "discourage you from buying a Triumph", then the ONLY obvious reason for his motive would be that he already knows that whenever you two will be out riding together, YOUR Triumph will garner ALL the attention and admiration from the folks you two will meet along the way!
