Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this one... Was out riding today over a couple of mountain passes. On the last Pass my bike started popping on deceleration. Since I disconnect the TPS a long time back I've had NO popping until today. I did that all the way to my driveway (which was essentially about 30 miles of downhill riding from when it started). Now what could cause that? I believe I also noticed a rough idle condition. If it was elevation then why would it not clear up once I got home (at the valley bottom)? And if it was temperature (12°c or 55°f) then why have I not noticed it before.

sounds like an air leak, check the carb mounts and squirel condoms

Gotta be an air leak Keith.
Condoms, rubber inlet connections or even an exhaust leak can do it.

Oh, I be expecting alright... expecting groaners like those above from you guys (not that I've ever planted a groaner or two of my own at ba.com). But keep 'em comin... life just wouldn't be the same without 'em.
