Ride one and see. The weight is similar, the Honda probably has a bit more power, defiantly smoother with that V-4 but that doesn't mean the Triumph vibrates, just has a bit of two cylinder character. I think you'll like the Speedmaster but the only way to be sure is to test one out.

Last year my wife had a 99 Honda Shadow and I had a 04 Honda Sabre. This year we have 06 & 09 speedies and couldn't be happier! I love the sound of a speedie motor.

Welcome Todd. Good choice on a replacement for the Honda. The Speedmaster has tons of character and reliability. Get it and enjoy.
BTW, Black is the best color.

Welcome Todd The only thing wrong with Speedies is that they are not Americas, not that I'm biased

Oh no, not again. When I first came on this site we were doing the "fastest color" thingee.
Look, let's settle this right now---the fastest ones are, without a doubt---Pacific Blue!
And, welcome to you, and glad to have a new member. And, even though I have the fastest color---don't let that cloud your choise. Get your Speedmaster.

If ya wanna get the BEST color, and also the FASTEST color, get a red AND black one. And if ya wanna make up your mind for sure, just go back and read some of our old posts...

Does size matter?? Does anyone feel that a bigger bike would be better??

Nope! I went from a Harley 1340cc Evo with go fast parts installed to the America. All concerns of engine size was erased after test riding her.
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

Lean angle? Dude, you won't find another cruiser that can roll through the turns like these can. And accessories are plentiful for traveling.

The closest dealer is 30 miles out-I'll have to make time There is a local "distressed" used bike dealer that has a 08 speedmaster for $4,500-is that kinda low??
