Interesting people, these Cannonballers. Met a few people that I've only read about. Talked with Buzz Canter for a bit, gave Shinya Kimura (1915 Indian) directions and sympathised with Bill Price over the bent valve on his 1915 HD. Not counting the HD's, got to see a couple of Hendersons, a Flying Merkel and an Excelsior under their own power. Cool! Too many noisy Harley's in town though. Feels like I'm in Daytona at times. Only 3 Triumphs seen so far (1 Bonnie, 2 Tigers). No Speedys or America's - not even mine

I had plans on riding up there, until my wife changed them with a couple of music festival tickets. Oh well sometimes you have to play nice. Good times were had either way.

Man, I wish I could participate! After 49 years, I finally found what I love to do best...Unfortunately the oldest bike I have is a 1972, but I do attend the 215 mile "3 State Ride" on it each year....Almost as fun!

The experience of a lifetime seemed to be the common theme among the riders. Clearly, there was no "race". I'm no mechanic, so I'll never own an antique bike, but I couldn't miss the chance to see this. I'm not a people person (hence my name), but all these riders seemed to be approachable to those who were so inclined. Cruising back roads at lower speed is my idea of a great ride. Going cross-country would be a dream!
