Since it was 2 Degrees this morning, I figure it's a good time for a little ice cream survey.
Favorite brand and flavor of ice cream or frozen yogurt.

No surprise this question comes from a Granite Stater- folks from NH consume more ice cream per capita than any other state in the union. There are also more registered motorcycle riders per capita than any other state.
Wish we still lived there...

Prestige brand Heavenly Hash - available at WinnDixie grocery stores. But we lost our Winn Dixie stores here months ago. Heavenly Hash is a milk chocolate, marshmallow base with almonds (i think, i know it's a nut of somekind).
Also available from Purity Dairy as a frozen yogurt - good, but not as good as the ice cream.

Ron, I'm going to the Ben and JErry's factory saturday, wanna come? I'm with FJ, B&J'd Mint Chocolate Cookie. Altho Edey's makes a mean PEpermint Stick.... Mink is key tho. My dad and I had a tradition when I was in college of hitting the dairy joy in Fellows Balls VT for some Black Raspberry creamies. mmmmmmmm....

Sounds like a little rally idea for this summer...everyone in the NE meet up at the Ben & Jerry factory.
But seriously The Penn State Creamery has the best ice cream you'll ever have. 10 times better than Ben & Jerry's without a doubt. Only problem is that it's fat content is soooo high you can't buy it in stores.

Vanilla bean over shortbread ladled with lite blueberry yoghurt mixed with peach slices, stawberrys, and Cointreau and finished on top with whipped cream and sliced almonds. I'm an uncomplicated guy...

Fresh picked mountain huckelberries on vanilla ice cream. I won't eat Ben and Jerry's for political reasons that I won't get into here. Dave

Just the plain vanilla truth for me, occasionally with chocolate chips in there! I have a workmate (Keith Zemaitis) whose son (Alan Zemaitis) played for Penn State football and is in the current NFL draft as a defensive cornerback (#21) for any of you Nittany Lion fans out there... they rave about the ice cream that comes out of there. Word is they come from all over the world to learn how to make ice cream from these guys down there. They aren't allowed to sell it commercially because of the high fat content but you can buy it there at State College, which my buddy does by the gallon when he goes down for the games. His favorite....Paterno Peach. (no ****** - really)

Told you so. I used to live in State College before moving to the big apple. Buying my Triumph really makes me wish I was still back in good 'ole PA. Its never hard to find great roads there. Maybe a State College ride is in the making as well...

I once was in North Carolina( about 40 years ago) had some homemade strawberry vanilla. I know because I helped turn the crank.Out of this world. Now we have a place that has Strawberry cheesecake And Blueberry Cheesecake icecreams. Great but not as good as the homemade years ago. Now I have to go for a Bikeride for ice cream
I was so much older then, I am younger than that now (Wrote By Dylan Sung by the BYRDS,)
