the only change you're going to notice is the drop in pitch of the exhaust note.....a crossover doubles the pitch and makes it "less objectionable".....remember the difference in sound between the 650's and the 750's - back in the day?.....the 750 had a crossover and lost the low rumble of the 650......personally, I plan to remove the pipes on my 03 america and plug the crossover by spot welding a freeze plug in it...this will eliminate the crossover and will be easily removable.
