Started as a small stain but now actually drips. Any help with how I should anticipate doing a repair would be appreciated. Is this a common problem?

It happened to my America as well. Leaked profusely after the motor got hot. I took it in to the dealer. Can't remember all they said, but it was a needle bearing, plus, etc.
Of course, clutch cover has to come off to get in there to replace it; drain the oil first!

I can tell you, Jim, that (for me) it was a $287.02 price tag for me to get it fixed. Included a clutch lifter arm, dust seal, 2 Bearings, gasket for clutch cover, washer (sealing), X-Stream Oil Filter, and synthetic oil. Parts: $137.02 Labor: $150.00.

Not a happy camper was I. So, that's the story.

What year is yours? Mine is '02.

Thanks for the info. Mine is a 2005 and it does seem to be getting worse and I am not sure I would tackle it myself so I guess I can expect a similar expense. Other than that my bike has needed no "dealer" maintenance so I guess I cant complain. I also am glad to have a Triumph dealer within 50 miles so giving them the business is OK too. Thanks again, Jim

I am sure they did not fix anything on later models. Its not a common ailment and would surface after warranty is out anyhow.

I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.
