A friend is opening an optical shop and would like to cater to those who ride. What are the good and not so good brands out there? The only brand I could come up with is Wiley X. If anyone has input on some other great eye wear, please share. Thanks!

Very high quality is Panoptix . Check the spelling , it's a trade name so it could be spelled differently . Had a pair of 'em , photochromic and all . Very nice .

The wife and I went on a poker run this weekend to raise funds for Autism care. Freebies for registration was a shirt and sunglasses, the sunglasses brand name is 51FIFTY eye ware. Their were several models to choose from and like most what bikers would buy. Just a Thought.

Bob 51FIFTY eye ware (not sure if this is the company)

Safety glasses are kind of the same church / different pew as motorcycle glasses.

It's not a bad idea to ride with shatterproof lenses, unless at post foreign object vs. eye mishap one wishes to beg an ER or eye doc for a mercy killing.

Although they leak a little air around the sides, I went with a pair of wraparound RayBan's from my local optical shop. I had him install single vision photo cromatic lenses and they double as sun glasses for me.
Entire package was around $150 and I am pleased with the result.

Oakley's, Wiley X, Addidas, Silhouette just to name a few. I currently where both Oakley's and Silhouette glasses with both a full face helmet and half helmet.
