For the last 150 miles, or so, I really haven't had my bike on the Highway. Most of the trips have been 2-5 miles at a time, in town. It probably only has had 20 of the miles on the Highway total.
Today, I felt like going for a little ride. I took it out and noticed the random wobble went away after the tires warmed up. I also noticed the bike felt sluggish. Went to the house and put some MMO in the gas. Still sluggish, although, I didn't expect the MMO to help until after I refueled (to get the mixture correct).
I refueled, only got 27 MPG (I attribute that to having to warm the bike up after each 2-5 mile ride)
The bike still felt sluggish ten miles after refueling.
I got onto the Interstate and lit her up. High RPM's in the first two gears. Took it almost to redline in third and I could feel something move from the engine, through the exhaust and it made a "pop" out the rear of the exhaust. Continued the rest of the way to redline in third.
The bike seemed to be pulling harder immediately after the "pop". I slowed down and got off the next exit. Got right back onto the Interstate and did the same thing. The second time, it seemed to be pulling harder (as hard as I remember it pulling) from the get-go.
I rode around town again and the bike felt right.
Ran some errands and noticed the wobble came back if the bike had sat for over 20 minutes. Then, went away when the tries got warmer.
Any thoughts?
