Harley has that exact fairing (that probably is one) and I think that particular fairing is one of the ugliest things ever put on a motorcycle... now Corbin on the other hand, makes a beautiful setup...

Well, I never did go for that ripoff of a Hardly logo. As far as I know, Hardly did it first, and I think they should own it. I remember in the early 80s, I saw a few patches with Hardly wing logos sporting "Suzuki", and "Kawawasaki". I wouldn't like it if Hardly or anyone else took the "Triumph" script and printed Hardly with it. Just my two bits.

That Corbin fairing is only for the touring model, with single headlamp.

Here's the one for RIIIs with duals: Corbin

And yeah, I think it looks better too.

Either way, pretty spendy

The rocket 3 with a fairing is currently on my wish list. I love the streetglide and roadglide but I'd rather get punched in the face then spend that much money on a motorcycle. Plus the r3 is way more bad ******. If they had a model that came with a fairing I'd buy one right now.

Hey Ed, I completely agree with you! It seems like Triumph just has never "finished" the R3. I know of several people that have bought various other brands because there has never been a FULL touring package for the Rocket III.

Whew, "only" 869 wet plus the fairing & trunk.
I was afraid it was going to be heavy or something!

Try 849 genius. And that includes the fairing and trunk.

PS, there's NOTHING uglier than an R3.
Except an R3 with au nglier Harley trunk & fairing.

Ed, that's for a 2011 with ABS.
But thanks for checking on the Victory line-up. I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase.

We have a 2008 tour at 849 lbs and a 2009 street at 800.

All ribbing aside, in a few weeks we're taking our big ugly Vision on another 2,000+ mile road trip. This time we're headed through your neck of the woods. Are there any good roads between Vestal and Niagara Falls you can recommend?

well if were you I would take the southern tier expy I know that it's a slab but it a very nice and very scenic.
i would run that to RT19 north to 20A west to 77 north .. now this is were you get to chose you can get on 90"toll" west to 290 to 190"brige toll" and get off at the robet moses pkwy and the will run right to th falls ..

or you can stay on 77 to 104 west there a little jog to get from one to the other but I'll let you look at that and see what would best for you ..and then take 104 to the robert moses pkwy to the falls that way "no toll's" the first way is much faster but alot more traffic..

hope this was of help and rember me and pat are not that far away at all maybe we hook up give us a shout..

Ed

Hey Ed, that 77/104 looks interesting. Thanks for the suggestions!

The route I was playing with goes from Vestal north on 96 to Ithaca. We're going to see some of the falls between Ithaca and Watkins Glen, then head north on the western shore of Seneca Lake.

From there we were going to head due north on 14 and run right along the coast of Lake Ontario then eventually drop south to the falls.

As you can see, we like to avoid the slab and take the long way.
Thank you!

+1 I have to agree I have a buddy that used to have a Hardley with that fairing and I always thought that it looked hidious. It just really seams to take away from a bike and seemed really cheap and gaudy to me. Keep the crap on Hardleys don't degrade the Rockets with Hardley crap!!

I saw a fairing set up on a 2006 R3 here at our dealership,I wasnt too impressed. To me its just a big hollowed out shell setting over the handle bars...
