Here in NC, we no longer get an inspection sticker for our bikes (or cars), but the inspection date is printed on your registration card. If you haven't had a vehicle inspected, you're blocked from renewing the plates. I had to get both bikes inspected this spring (for the first time ever), and the dealer said they've had a bunch of people coming in after trying to renew plates and getting denied because no inspection. Luckily, for bikes there's no emissions test; just lights, tires, horn check basically...and $14.
