The problem with this system is that whenever the weight is taken off the sidestand, it pops up, whether you want it to or not.

Say you've parked up for the night and a strong wind developes, you've got a damaged bike. Or, even worse, you're sitting on your bike talking to a girl, persuading her that you're a safe rider and she'll be perfectly alright going for a spin on the back of you, and you just shift position slightly, but without you realising you've took the weight off the sidestand for a split second
