Why DID Muskrat Love make it to the top anyway?
That would be due to Toni Tenille's smoky voice...and payola from record companies. America's earlier version was considered too nasal by purists. And now, we have come full circle with this America thing

Muskrat Love eh... that is a puzzler. Getting back to the wonderful names our bikes have... 'Triumph' and 'America' and the coincidence that those just happen to be the names of two super famous bands... again (and as a musician) I'm stoked to be riding an America!! Oh, and then I got to listening to some Triumph tunes... what a great (Canadian, I might add) band. Man, that Rik Emmett can sing!!! One of the best!
Live to love, love to live.

Also stock bikes have the model name of 'America' on the side. This was removed by Triumph during the respray, mainly as who'd want the word America on a British bike!
Has anyone told this guy that his "British" bike was most likely built in Thailand?

Ok, here we go again. First it was the "black ones are the fastest". Now it's the Speedy is "the better bike".
Well, maybe in the "Land Down Under" the Speedy is better. But up here in the good old USA the America is top dog----just so ya know.

If I ever do have the paint done, the tank will have a STAR TREK emblem painted on the top and the bottom points of the emblem will start where the pin stripe lets off, it will be shadowed so it looks like its popping out, the side cover will probably have a star ship painted on it and "NCC-800 AMERICA" in STAR TREK font and shadowed to match the tank. Oh and the choke knob will be a com badge also. Oh yea, ever wonder why im called Beamer? (not to mention my first name being Scott)

Even though I do own a Speedy and it is black and I do also live in the Land Downunder, I reckon the America is equally as hot as a Speedmaster. I love both machines alot.

Oooops, well, maybe he won't see what I wrote---if he does he'll be thinking "What a dumb American---more reason not to have America on my bike".
