I don't have a fuel injection Triumph but I do have a fuel injected Harley. And I found out something about fuel injection on all bikes the Harley eng. told me all problems codes or stander since 1996. I was looking for a code reader for my Harley, and the Eng said I had one on my bike and he showed me how to use it. Saved me a 200 dollers at Sturgis last week. Queston dose the fuel injected Triumph have a way to read their code? Boy it sure makes trouble shorting easy.Rudy

Yes - Tuneboy (an aftermarket computer program for reading and tuning the Triumph engine management computer) is capable of reading historic error codes and providing real time diagnostics. Check out the "more info" on Tune Boy and Tune Edit here.

With the Harley you hold the trip milage reset button down and the turn the key on and bouth tack and speedo points go to 100% then back to 0. Then the milage indicator is in the dianostic mod., let the trip out and back in(fast) and it will show you error code. And then go to googel or one the those kind of sight and type the code in and it will take you the problem (as per the Harley eng.).Rudy

The current America/Speedmasters do not have any digital displays. Triumph is now changing towards a new speedometer with digital odometer. On my 2010, I have to hook up an OBDC II cable and use my computer to read codes, and run diagnostics. I use TuneECU that's available here: TuneECU The developer of TuneECU has made this tool available for no charge. H.

Free is good. But I thought TuneECU wasn't available for the twins yet? There is no map for them at the site you listed.

Yes, TuneECU is mainly for the triples at this point. It doesn't do the MAPs for the twins at this point. The developer is reportedly working on this.
TuneECU will run diagnostics, and let you adjust the throttle bodies as it reports throttle body vacuum. It will also let you read any error codes, and let you reset them.

OK that's pretty useful for our EFI bikes - free diagnostic software and throttle body balancing. I already have Tuneboy so I don't need it personally. How about posting this info in the Tech Vault and also how to get the correct cable connector (diagnostic connection to USB).

Yeah, I've posted about this software and cable before, but there's been very little interest about it, probably because there's not many people with EFI. I'll try and put this together next week.
