Ok my head is spinning with new ideas. I want to clean up my bars, lower the front and run a 21" up front. I'm probably gonna go with no front brake to make it work but what do I look for in a front rim. I want to go with a mag for sure but I'm not sure how the whole axle spacing works. If anyone has done this or knows what to look for please advise.
pain is temporary, pride is forever.

Axle diameter and custom spacers. Some of the chopper sites say to use PVC pipe to get the dimensions of the spacers correct since it's easier to work with than stacking up washers then take them to a real machinist (unless you have a lathe and know how to use it) because spacers are something you can't fudge and they must be absolutely square on each end.

Yeah, I was thinkin' the same thing there, Keith. (...but then again, as the ol' sayin' goes..."Who need brakes? Those things just slow ya down!")
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

So the old chunks of handle bar cut with a hack saw we used to use when I was a kid isn't adviseable? (I preobably still have that set up on a couple of my bikes. )

I put a 21" on my Bonnie-A and really like it.... to correct for my rake/trail I added 3.5 degree of rake with the triple trees..... as far as the wheel/rim.... I had to have a new rim strung to my hub...... I wouldn't ride without front breaks,,, did it as a kid but I survived that lack of experience so as to be here with you all today !
