Anyone have or know anything about the " Biker's Friend "? I like the idea of storage and back support combined ! Tried to get it from Eddy but they wouldn't let him sell them.

A lot of people swear by them. To me they seem a bit pricey for what they are, a giant tube covered in leather (or is it vinyl?). But I like the idea. Freedom got one with his '07 Speedmaster and it seems to be well-constructed.

They are vinyl! The only storage I use now is a small tank bag and a Tourmaster bag on the luggage rack. Saddle bags would cost as much or more and the "friend" offers the back rest. I'm mostly into short trips around the rural roads of South Central Va and North Carolina so comfort is more important than storage. Thanks for the input !!

I have the XL bag..pricey but inexpensive compared to back rest and bags!!4 days of clothing with toiletries plus fit in nicely..2 straps and their off the bike and into room/tent...good purchase if youre want multi-use unit..there are better bags and there are better backrest...but no better combo!!
life is good..I am retired..sold my America in 2008,bought a Rocket and sold that in 3/2013 and now own a new Triumph Bonneville T-100

I have a TourMaster bag with the detachable round top bag. Cost was about 1/2 of a Bikers Friend. I put the Tourmaster on facing forward sitting on my pillion seat. Unzip the round one, roll it forward on its straps and its a back rest.

If you look at the blue one on the Biker's Friend website that is my bike. http://bikersfriend.com/pages/saddlebag.htm I've had one for about five years. I got the biggest one and have been very happy with it. It will carry two bags of groceries or two cases of beer, two full coverage helmets, a weekend worth of clothes with an extra leather bike jacket. (Not all at once you smart alecs ) The back rest worked great but I got one with my Corbin seat so mine isn't used anymore. After five years it still looks and works great.

Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Ok this is an old thrread but I just found it. If your not worried bout looks but want HUGE capasity and back rest for little money........Use the trusty "sea bag" from an army navy store, or ask a Vet to get you one on base. Usually around 30- 40 bucks, I cant remember as mine was issued to me. Fill it, put a travel pillow in it right at the middle, strap long ways across bike or upright if you have a old school sissy bar. Works like a champ and you got everything you need and then some.

sorry if this is a bit to late but I have a medium bikersfriend and got it to mount on my speedy a couple of years ago This is the only pic i can find on that bike. I now use it on my rocket, it is totally waterproof and I think it looks very good. Here it is on the rocket. yes it was expensive but it has lasted well and I like the look of it on the bike.

Thanks, I like the poster too. That is a fountain in Jacksonville Florida where I rented a condo for a few months.

I use Iron Horse luggage, but my friend has a biker's friend on her sportster and she's recently gone to the Iron Horse. She does like it for the backrest but doesn't like the looks.
