Troy is cooking up a 6hr ride for us on Friday. Can I download a PDF file to a post? He sent me the map to my home e-mail address.

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed out about it... If the date can move another weekend I would be able to come. But only if everyone else could still do it, I wouldn't want anyone else to miss it by being on another weekend. I was really looking forward to it, too.

Dang man..we can't let Dave miss another rally since he and I missed the Midwestern Rally. I just got off the phone with Anne at the Riders rest and she has the weekend of 9/30-10/3 before the weekend originally planned and 10/14-10/17 the weekend after. Also she has 10/28-11/1 open. I know I am taking alot for granted since it is easy to change my vacation time but can you all check you schedules to see if you can do one of those weekends? That could be our rally slogan. "Do it for Dave". Woah... that conjures up some weird images.

10/14-10/17 weekend would work for me. I hate to have "not so bad" Dave miss the ride.

I can do 10/14 - 10/17 also. Let's settle this as fast as we can guys because I have to shuffle things at work.

Sorry to butt in but the weekend of Sept 29 - Oct 2 is the Blues, Bikes and BBq over in Fayetteville. That would be an easy ride from ES to check out the festivities and give another Speedy rider some support! lol

I agree I need to call Anne back sometime tommorrow. I will PM, Thom, Hill and Troy. Donny is okay with any date.

Sorry Will, I think we will be going the opposite direction on our rides. But you could join us for the rally.

You bet. I have to hear from a few people but the new date is leaning towards 10/14-10/17. Good thing we are the proud and the few. The date probably couldn't be changed for one of the bigger rallies.

I think the 10/14-10/17 works better for me anyway. My daughter is having shoulder surgery next week and I will know better how she is healing with and extra week...

Great Thom. We just have to hear from Hill and I think the new date will be set. You all realize of course that Roadworthy will have to buy a round for everyone for all this trouble we are going through for him.

This is screwed up. I just called Anne at Rider's rest and she said that 14th-17th is taken and the week before our original date and 9/30/10-9/3 is taken also. With my hearing loss and her thick British accent I misunderstood her. There is a Corvette Rally the first week in October and the Arts and Crafts fair is in town the 14th -17th. So the only other openings are 10/21/-10/24 or 10/28-10/31. Can we do one of those dates? Please check your calendars and let me know which of those two dates you all could do it.
Sorry for the confusion. We're going to do this one way or the other. Those AR curvy roads are calling me.

I can't do the 21st or 22nd. I will not be able to get off work those days. I'm going to ask work on Tuesday when I get back but I know I'll be told, "No". We'll see but if that date gets set, I may not be able to go.

Okay. I haven't called the Riders Rest yet, can everyone do the weekend of 10/28-10/31? this is the last date for October unless you all want to get in to November and some genuine fall colors.

Okay this is the LAST date change. The new Rally date is 10/28-10/30 and leave on Sunday the 31st. I've confirmed this with the Riders Rest. Please change your individual reservations, I just changed mine. I think I snagged the Steve McQueen room from you Chris.

Something else to be on the lookout for in NW Arkansas. This is near the ES city limits out 62 west a bit.

Well if you drink enough (even that Choc Beer Dan is promoting!) you might be willing to take on a bear!

Went through Boxley Valley today... 36 elk in the herd grazing the pasture betwen 43 and the Buffalo River... also saw 8 turkeys and 4 trumpeter swans, all along a two mile stretch of AR 43 in Boxley Valley (SW of Ponca).
Tough duty but someone has to scout out all the rides!

Just heard on the news that a motorcyclist and passenger ended up in a ditch after colliding with a bear . The collision happened near Lake Leatherwood (Eureka Springs). The riders are okay and the bear ran away.

Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.
