The long range forecast up/over/down (depends on where you are!) here is for low near 40 and highs in mid 60s with no rain. Early morning might be a little cool but should be perfect up in the day. Temps won't be in the frost zone before we ride so leaves should be still hanging on with some color.

Dangit Troy! My eyes hurt trying to look at that map! One thing is I couldn't finger the direction of your route? The beauty of Google Maps are the street views and the sorta accurate estimates of travel time. Heck even earth view mode. Terrain mode etc.
These routes run counterclockwise:
Your route (I think) but in google maps form.
Towards the end of your original route, (remember Counter clockwise direction) this slightly altered Route rolls a wee bit longer on the Missouri sweepers of 86.
Gotta say that cross-referencing your route with the Motor cycle roads website suggested routes yields some fine riding.
43 and 74 are scenic rides. 123 is full of twisties, 235 is some major sweepers as is 14 and finally 86.
If you have a zumo I'd be happy to send you a gpx file which you can import into your GPS.
Am I coming to this fine Rally? I wish, but then Rally would be spelled: d i v o r c e.

Hey Donny and Paul... This was a section of a days ride that featured a ride around Fort Gibson Lake. Ever think about lolly gagging over to the Rider's Rest? Well this will keep you awake! And Donny, wait up for Paul will ya? Day two of the '10 New York Rally Ride. Jeff Busby Park, MS to the Broken Arrow Steak and Ale House.

Actually had planned to do it clockwise so we would end up at Jasper for lunch. Have been over all the roads in the route in the last couple of months and the only kind of bad section is 86 in MO. Pretty rough pavement but does cover some roads we would not have otherwise ridden. Other than that not a bad road on the route. Each leg has some redeeming riding value. More sweepers than usual, Hwy 14 is more like 7 than 21 or 23 and it goes through a little more open country than 21/23. But then Paul and I have discussed doing 21 to 23 with several alternate roads linking those to give people a choice on how far they want to ride on Sat. I have used that mapping software for several years so it is kind of a habit, but does make vague looking maps so that if i get lost no one will know!!!

I can't decide what to pack this year. The weather looks like it's going to be chilly/cold in the mornings but warm in the afternoons. That will be a change, huh? Looking forward to seeing all you guys again!!!

The forecast from here isn't very good. Small amounts of freezing snow in the morning, coupled with freezing rain. Tornado's expected midday, followed by monsoon like rains, with flash flooding occuring in mountain passes. Evening expected to be extremely dark, followed by some small amounts of light the following day. The small amount of light during the day will compound the glare coming from a certain member's here chrome steed. Sorry fellas, I guess I'm just jealous that I can't make my favorite ralley again this year, so I was just being mean! And, I wanted to post on this thread just so you know I will be lurking here, waiting to live through you all vicariously and watching your fun from a distance!

Wait a second are you laughing with me or at me? I might just have to ask the t-shirt guy to put a double coat of paint on the BA.com logo on your t-shirt, so your chest will sweat more.

We are pulling out of St. Louis at 7:30 Thursday morning and taking back roads all the way down this year. Hope to be there between 3-4:00. It should be nice riding down in something other than 40º rain this time!

If you guys remember, we did have one good day last year. Saturday was decent when we saw the elk. As far as 6 wine coolers..I don't know Donny I might have to take a couple back home. I did wash and wax the machine last night. I can't let Chris show me up too much with his new custom paint job.
