As this seems to be about whether to hold it in the north, south or middle, I think I'll quote my dad

So basically he was saying the natives up north are slightly friendlier. Of course, him coming from the northeast didn't bias his thinking whatsoever
But I do know that the Dent locals recognised I was lost and told me where the campsite was without me even asking
As for the weather, I reckon Geoff (GJS) ought to comment, as before the weekend he regarded himself as a fair weather rider, whereas now, he is a fully fledged scubabiker
Oh, and the Dent beer is loverly, and there is some I've yet to try
