Well of course most of you remember and know I bought a Triumph Trophy not too long ago. Yup, Guinevere as she is known in these parts graces our highways and byways with her many charms. But all of a sudden today... today at the 8th Annual RAT Raid in Nelson I gained another Trophy, that being in the form of 'Best Cruiser At Nelson Raid' award. That's right folks... the very same bike I considered selling not so long ago, just won this prestigious award. She deserves it... she knows she is pretty and likes to show off at every opportunity. Today she wowed the crowd and judges and brought home the prize!!! Me posing with my beautiful Cardinal and my Trophy Girl.  A close up of the rare and coveted award.

That cardinal red America is just not a pretty face. It handles the twisty roads of the Kootenays with aplomb (look it up). It was an absolute joy chasing her and Keith over the Kaslo-New Denver pass and then all the way back to Nelson. Friends, Romans, Countrymen (and Canadians), this is one of the finest motorcycle riding experiences you'll find in North America.

Thanks one and all for your kind words. As Chris rightfully pointed out, it's a reminder NOT to put her aside. And Friar suggests I have no more talk of selling her and ya know... I can't let her go! She's more than just a pretty face as Friar also pointed out, she's a fine spirited filly who's at home in the mountains and twisty roads. This weekend, at the Nelson RAT Raid my girl lead a group of highly skilled riders through some of the BEST riding roads on earth... leaving everyone content in a ride well done!!!
So... I will keep 'er folks. I will continue to lean on this forum for advise, ideas and support. Together my wonderful Cardinal and I shall raise the bar again and again towards the endless goal of satisfaction and joy.
As a side note... man, can this bike handle!! She flew through these roads this weekend like NEVER BEFORE. All I had to do was hang on!!

Well it certainly would not have been me. I knew it was a losing battle and didn't bother even washing my bike. I'm thinking Marty was next in line with the sweet flames and other airbrushing on his Speedy. Naturally I managed not to get some pictures of said artistry.

I got those from a place near you in Surrey called Wheelsport Canada. Here's their link. They've got some GREAT prices and are super nice people to deal with. Give them a shot next time you need tires!!
