Here's a rather interesting story. Who has a cat?

Hmmmmm...

"You want to know something utterly terrifying? The U.S. Military is interested in Toxo. And I would think they would be intrigued, studying a parasite that makes mammals perhaps do things that everything in their fiber normally tells them not to because it's dangerous and ridiculous and stupid and don't do it."

Well, I can see it all now... ...

"Here ya go, Soldier! Take two of these pills, jump on that motorcycle, and go take that hill!"

But THEN this "report" goes on to say....

Quote:

For example, Britain has a Toxoplasma infection rate of 6.6% while in bike-loving France it's 45%. Road deaths are also 68% higher in France than in the UK.

...which begs the question: How come the French haven't won a war(on their own anyway) since the days of Napolean???

anyone that would eat that pill willingly doesn't deserve a bike

What if the research is baloney and we're all just crazy for motorcycles despite any infections? We need a control group to not take the pill and ride and another group to take it and ride. Pill-takers who lose their nerve reserve the right to eat a rat on a stick and re-infect themselves.

This IS a free country, after all!

the whole story sounds so ridiculous that I looked at the date to see if it came out on April 1st, but it didn't

Since I'm not particularly turned on by cat pee, I guess my love of motorcycles has some other cause.

If there was any truth in this report, then the disease would make humans want to climb the fence of the lion enclosure at the zoo, so that the victim would get et.

And Dwight, the French didn't win the Napoleonic wars, as a war doesn't end until everyone says it does, and Britain and Portugal never bowed down to the Corsican, and the Spanish never completely surrendered either

Next time I get a speeding ticket I should get tested for toxoplasmosis.

You just might get away with it too!
