Sometimes less really is more.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

He even went as far as to paint double fog lines on the road.

It even looks like the valve covers and firewall are all painted with detail too. It is too much but a cool car alright.

Uh huh, good point, Dave! Just as the Munstermobile wasn't a bare bones "Rat Rod" either! Uh huh...'cause from what I've heard, Herman wouldn't allow Lilly, Grandpa, Eddie, or that foxy Marilyn to step inside ANY Hot Rod that didn't at least have SOME of the comforts of the house at 1313 Mockingbird Lane! (I'm sorry, but this Hot Rod is just WAY TOO cartoonish for my tastes...BUT like I said above, it MIGHT BE kind'a cool to drive around on Halloween!)

Just sayin, hot rods and "rats" are different. While this is a little eccentric, it still has a lot of the traditional hot rod style.

Yeah, I know. I just used your clarification on this matter to, first, get my little "Munster" joke in, and secondly, to once again state for the record that I think the guy has gone way overboard with his "theme" on that traditional Hot Rod.
It's kind'a like what Larry said above..."Sometimes less IS more"!
(...unless of course your name happened to be George Barris, and you're creating a car for a certain grotesque family featured in a certain 1960's sitcom!!!)

I really like it and the more I look at it the more I like it. I also loved the Munsters car and even did a gear shift like that one in a 63 VW Bug I had that I put a Porsche engine and trans in. I liked Grandpa's coffin rail too.

Yeah, well, I'll bet you ALSO liked "The Munsters" better than the "Addams Family" TOO, didn't ya Ian??? (...though seeing as how neither Gomez, Morticia, Grand Mama, Uncle Fester, Wednesday, Pugsley, Lurch, nor Cousin It EVER had a cool-azz Hot Rod, I guess I CAN kind'a see where you're comin' from here, ol' buddy!!!)

Wait a minute...now that I THINK about this, both Wednesday AND Pugsley due to their ages probably wouldn't have gotten their respective drivers licenses until at least the year 1972 or '73 and WAY past the time that series was canceled, huh?! AND, Cousin It probably couldn't have passed the vision test at the DMV either, huh?!
And so, it would've been impossible for them to drive...a Hot Rod or ANY vehicle for that matter, huh?!
(...and so, just forget what I said about them!)

If you remember the Addams Family then you know Lurch did the driving and the car was in no way a hot rod. I bet Pugsley would have had one had the show lasted long enough for him to get one though. Now that I think of it I wonder if maybe the real identity of that seller might be Pugsley.

Too much for sure, but I bet he elicits a lot of grins when it's driven.

I gotta go with Dwight on this one... it's a one day a year (Halloween) car! But hey... each to their own!

Your right about the cooler, but the loops just a tailshaft loop not a hose.

Yep, the loop catches the front of the driveshaft if it breaks to stop a pole vault when you really don't want it. The more I see the more I like. I'm sure that cooler has some cooling effect even if it isn't in an optimum position.

I'd totally drive it, and not just on Halloween.
Does there really need to be a war between the Addams and the Munsters, can't we all just get along??? really...

Great pix find there, Brent!!!
(...but to answer your question here..I doubt Rodney King ever meet either the Addamses NOR the Munsters, but I COULD be wrong!!!)
