Ed, I just went through the same decision. I bought a 2003 Speedmaster, 1800 miles, $5300. This was about $3000 less than the best 'out the door' price on a 2006. The '06 has the larger engine, but all the tests I've seen put the performance about even. If you're like most of us, your bike
won't remain stock for long anyway. My advice is if you can find a clean, low-mileage '03, grab it. Good luck!
