I just cut all of the post off except 1/4 inch ran a longer #8 bolt through onto the existing lower hole on the sissy bar rail. drilled a hole for the wiring out the rear portion of the signal housing drilled through the fender and ran the wiring back to the license plate holder. I had to cut off the connectors and then solder and shrink tube them back on again, put black silicone through the small holes for the wires in the fender to prevent rust and chaffing. Now they are on the sissy bar not sticking out like a second thought from the tail light,
