I'm off! For three days, I'll see no one but gas station attendants and waitresses. I'm taking A1A (the coast road)from South Florida to Georgia. Don't know where I'll go from there, but I'll figure it out. I don't want to see anybody, visit anybody, or have an intinerary, just go. Just me and Steelheart. Later. Brian

Just got back, cut it one day short. If you ever get the chance, the part of A1A north of Daytona is some of the coolest and most relaxing riding I've done in years. Lightly trafficked, spectacular ocean view. I'll see about getting some video posted in the next few days.

Did you take the ferry across the St. Johns in Jax? I did that once on the bike and it was an interesting way to get to Georgia!
later, Tom.
But, what do I know?

A1A, Daytona to Fernandina (and the Mayport Ferry) is one of the nicest relaxation rides in this area. Sun from Daytona to Mayport and shade from Mayport to Fernandina. Good eats all along the way. I think there's a fort (from the 1500's Fort Caroline in Jax to the 1700's Castillo de San Marco in St. Augustine) every 50 miles or so that make for interesting history breaks.

Nice, Brian! Sounds, and looks, like this short vacation was just what the doctor ordered!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Wow 6:30 AM, That is really early for not having to go to work the next day. I guess it was worth it for that beautiful sunrise. That looks like an awesome trip Brian. Cheers, ~Brent
