I have searched and haven't found anyone running the triumphperformanceusa 865 kit on their bike. I'm leaning strongly in this direction for a winter mod on the bike, and am open to any thoughts on the kit. With the 865, I'm figuring for the $ just getting the higher compression pistons and cams will yeild better results than the alternative of a 904 kit alone. I'll probably stay with my current BUB/Uni/drilled airbox, and am hoping to see some gains especially in the upper RPM range. Thoughts are welcome.

I looked into it bout a year ago. Heres the thread: Not a BB but interesting Its certainly an option depending on what you want to achieve. Read the whole thread...I posted updates as I learned more. Personally I opted to hold off for a BB cause I want more torque than the HC kit can offer. Also...talk to Carlos at TPUSA. He will get you informed and help you figure out whats right.

EXACTLY what I was looking for. Sounds like my thoughts were about the same as yours. With the 865 the limiting factor really is the cams... I was hoping that bumping compression and getting the 813's we'd see more of a jump in hp/tq, but it doesn't sound like the package really gains much tq, just hp up high. Hmm. Sounds like I have some thinking to do.

The TPUSA 813 cams and ignitor remap should get you approx. 8 hp with no torque loss. Instead of falling flat at 6k it will keep pulling to the limiter.

I did the Hi performance kit and ****** happy with the results It has more torque and it screams from 6000 up. I am running k&n's. Had to put a new clutch in right away. Stock clutch could not handle it. Has a deeper sound. Carlos told me I would get 10 hp from this. I do not have dynos to back up anything. but a big difference

I think the 10HP estimate for the kit is a very credible number. I bet it is more fun to ride, eh?
