Hi, just signed up a couple of days ago. I am shopping for a used America or Speedmaster. I hope to have one in the next week or so. This will be my 1st bike and as I am new to the world of motorcycles this site has been a VERY valuable resource.

I'm a FSU grad '82. Had many great times there. Get a TBA, or SM, do the simple mods, if they haven't been done already, and ride it down to St. Mark's NWR, and enjoy some Apalachee Bay oysters. Or ride out to Dog Lake, or some of the local sinkholes like "Big Dismal". Charlie

Hey, guess I'm a lurker! Sometimes look at this site daily, then go for weeks without having the 'time' to lurk! Don't post too often as I try and scan for my particular need and 9 times outta 10 find it somewhere! Anyways, my code name is Mole, 007, secret agent from England Here in the USA to track down Jaffa cake lovers Real name: Clive. More boring details in my bio!

Hi Unclecharlie, thanks for the tips. I can't wait to hit up the canopy roads around here too. I actually live off of Centeriville Rd. so it and Miccosukee are in my backyard.
I don't know if you remember Poseys down by St. Marks? It got destroyed during last hurricane season. Sux, great place to eat oysters.
Ciao for now.

I helped my Dad work on his 1968 Bonnie and once we go it running I got the fever. I have been looking at this site since early 2005 when I was still drooling on the BA's In June of 2005 I got my baby. I put about 2300 miles ot it and I could not be happier with this great machine.I have learned so much from all of you! Thanks for the wealth of knowledge. I have just started messing with my bike. I put on some BUBS slash cuts and man that was what the DR. Ordered. I just ordered the AI Kit from Brent and have a new tach to put on. As time goes on I will get ballsier and try some more stuff and I am sure with all of your help I can have the tricked out bike I have always wanted! Thanks Again, Dave

John, I've been pretty much out of touch since the beginning of the school year. That means I'm a lurker to most of the new guys here. So...are you going to delete my post? Anyway, for those who DON'T know me, I'm a second generation member at the old site, a teacher of European history, AP Euro and Government and Civics. I enjoy political debate in the spirit of opinionated exchange, if it can be done and still respect each other. I modify my opinions all the time based on new input...I think everyone should. I play bass in a mostly original blues rock band and tear out a piece of my house every year and pretend it will be done by the time school starts. I ride an '03 BA with very few performance mods other than a bored out airbox, 18 tooth sprocket and drilled out valve slides...also an abortive attempt to jet to 130's that didn't work for who know's what reason. Gremlins I'm thinking. But, I like my cosmetic mods, like that's a surprise...I can't even remember what's in my gallery anymore but go look. I'll post more soon as soon as I clean the 1 inch thick coating of bugs from the front end acquired on a 100 yard stretch of road in Canandaigua this past week. I'm glad Pat was in front of me...his car took the worst of it. Hope to make everyone's acquaintance and reconnect with folk I've lost touch with...ride safe BB

I was member No.13 on the original BonnevilleAmerica.com forum. I have tried off and on for months to re-register with no success. I don't know what was different today, but I am glad to be back. It is great to see a lot of old-timers still around and lots of new members. I am putting new tires on my red 2002 this week and ready for some serious road time.

I suppose I should 'fess up to being a lurker. I was active a year or two ago but I am working over in the north west of aussie and only get home every 6 weeks or so. I sort of read as much as I can during my break but have little time to post.

hi you good people just managed at last to get on this forum and log in. RAY it's me brian e=mailed you some moths ago about the up north run. I've been monitoring you guys for quite awhile just glad i can now try and get involved. by the way it's me who had the problem with water in the fuse box. This was'nt diagnosed by me but by the dealer mechanic after they collected the bike from my home when after charging the battery made no difference.

Hi, I'm Sonny from Kentucky, I've been here for about a month. I traded my 650 V-Star for an 02 TBA just before finding this great site. Already put over 2k miles on here and love every mile of it. I've posted a couple of pics but I've already made more changes to her since then. Just added tank bib and spikes to my ISO grips also painted the grey rear peg hangers black. Must say this sight has been very helpful finding parts for my bike. Thanks for being here.
02 TBA 160 mains, 45 pilots, AI removed, QPD Belt Drive, Sceptre"s, Bobbed.

Hey, Ive been checking out sites since picking up the 06 TBA. My first bike and so far it's been everything I was looking for. Even had my first close call today with a guido in a GTI ripping past me in my lane to run a red. He didnt even have the guts to look at me when I was two lanes over from him (of course he only managed to get himself to the next light and everyone caught up to him anyway...)
Glad to have found your site. Im open to all good advice and tips.

Allright, I give, gotta get the "Lurker" label off my back. Just got my '03 Speedy and she's a beaut! Haven't ridden regularly in quite some time, can't wait to wind this bike up, as soon as I get my license back. Don't ask...DUI, yeah, stupid I know. This web site is great for tech advice and information. I'm sure I have the cleanest best tuned bike in my neck of the woods.

HI ED I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE SPEEDMASTER BUT BOUGHT A BONNIE T100 LAST YEAR AND ALTHOUGH IT IS A TRUELY LOVELY BIKE I FEEL ITS NOT QUITE ENOUGH. THE GOOD ASPECT IS IT HOLDS ITS VALUE BUT I AM CONSIDERING THE SPEEDTRIPLE. IT JUST FEELS LIKE WHY BUY A BIKE THAT LOOKS LIKE AN OLD BIKE BUT ISNT AND IS A NEW BIKE BUT LACKS SOME OF THE QUALITIES OF A NEW BIKE ESPECIALLY IN BRAKING AND CORNERING.

Allow me to step up and be blasted.
In Houston and just got my first Triumph. 06 TBA Silver. I've pulled the snorkel and am learning all about the bike from this site.
Awesome info here and I look forward to jumping right in!
The pipes are comming and the AI is going and the miles are gonna start climbing.
To me; Harley + Fashion Show = Lost Soul
An old Triumph rider bud of mine, from the past, turned me onto Triumphs back when? About 1993 or so. He had an Older Triumph I'm thinkin 70's. It was Bobber style some apes and kewl as F'n sh$#. I knew one day I would be here from that point on. I'm in process of hunting the ole holmes down now.
It's either Triumph or custom as hell for me.
Love the bike now let me get.
Chime complete!

Mark, live in south Florida, been a member of this forum for a long time but we switched to new boards it has taken me awhile to get used to them. Also had some heart problems and Doc took me off of the Blue Bonnie for awhile. Riding again but not with Doc's permission.

Question, how long before we are no longer strangers ?
Bought my new 06 TBA three weeks ago this Sat. picked her up and rode home 47 miles in a downpour.
Love her deeply already I have only 600 miles on her have to ride between the rain drops. It is get better through it only rained twice last week once for three days and once of four days.
Just heard the weather for this weekend rain Sat. and Sun. I think that makes it 10 or 11 straight weekends with rain in CT..

Guilty as charged, been lurking for a while. I bought my first bike '06 Speedmaster Black... almost one week old, only 500 miles, seems that once you buy a bike it never stops raining long enough to use it. love it though, best bike I have ever owned ;~) Seems like a great forum. Helped me several times already... so thanks for that.

I forgot to add that line. I really apprecaite a place for us lunkers to go and learn what other owners are doing and the response you get when you have a question on your bike. I tried the "cruise control" rubber washer on the throttle what a difference it made no more hand cramps and the throttle just rolls back with little effort.
Thanks again.

Patrick Riordan, Leesburg Florida. Retired Navy and wanna-be aircraft mechanic. That "Stranger" thing really bugs me. Guess I better start getting my post count up a little. Bought my 05 TBA about 7-8 months ago. I cannot help but break into a HUGE grin everytime I step out to the garage! I get more looks, compliments, and thumbs up from folks all over. There is a lot of respect out there for these Triumphs.
I have to thank all here for the incredible wealth of information & knowledge you have provided me with here. I hope to post some pics soon to show how much I have benefited from this website.

Patrick... Just wanted to say hey. This is an old thread that doesn't see much activity these days. Your experiences are well-known to us all. Only idiots sneer at these bikes. There are always nifty little mods you can do - I'm for the small things that add up as opposed to the big flashy things - but nevertheless right off the line the America has been turning heads since it came out. Welcome in...if you haven't checked Brent's site out yet for your bling... you oughta. He's a great guy to deal with and a great supporter of our site. BB
