Only test is to swap with a known good igniter, which you have access to.
(Oops, maybe it won't work, but you can try).
Try unplugging and plugging it back in, see if that makes it better for a while.
So, was it hitting on only one cylinder when the problem arose this time?
The part number is on the unit.
