Looks like a kids scribbled on a photograph

Where is it?

I can't see that picture at work (I'm guessing it's on Photobucket) but this is the one I'm going on tomorrow:

I have no idea where this picture was taken. I just stumbled across it on a cycling website...

No way would I attempt that road on a push bike

I'd be dead from exhaustion before reaching the first bend on the way up, and dead from brake failure on the way down (after getting airlifted to the top)

That's if I didn't have a heart attack just considering it

I would probably love it on the BA though

Dream road maybe - depends if you stick to it!

Looks like a lot of speeding up and slowing down to me.No good corners you could just tear into and keep the speed up.

Check out this road, part of AZ Hwy-89, that's just half a mile from my house in Prescott:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=White+Spar+Road,+Prescott,+AZ&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=41.95363,88.945313&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=White+Spar+Rd,+Prescott,+Yavapai,+Arizona+86303&ll=34.490146,-112.489872&spn=0.171199,0.347443&t=h&z=12

(either clink onto the highlighted link, or better yet, copy the complete Google Map address above and then paste it on your address line to get the full picture of this great twisty road)

Whenever I get bored around the house and/or the "Honey-Do List" has been checked off in full, you'll often find me practicing my "late apex-ing" on this one.

Keith,

That looks like the street trail from the local gas station up to your "cliff-dweller" abode

Hmmm, that didn't work too well.
This gives the flavor though. Yeah, definitely one of my favorite roads :

Wilhoit to Prescott

Great finds there, Bill!

I didn't think Youtube would have somethin' specific to The Spars, so I didn't bother to check that.

Mingus Mtn is a very nice twisty sucker too alright, but it seems it's too often lined up with all the moms, dads and the kids goin' to see Jerome and Sedona in their Camrys and maybe comin' close to the speed limit on the few straightaways...maybe.

(...to say nothin' of course of all the Harley riders goin' about the same speed as all those Camry-drivin' Moms and Dads are goin' and that you'll run up behind TOO!)

Well, I'd love to ride THAT road, Soren!

Well, that is IF those four places where that sucker intersects on that sign are overpasses and not actually "intersections", 'cause then I KNOW there'd probably be at least one asshat of a cager or maybe more, and maybe drunk or maybe not, or maybe on their friggin' cellphone or maybe not, who wouldn't stop or yield where they should as I approach, and...ka-BLAM-mo, I'd be toast.

(...not that I'm at all the "cynical sort", you understand!)
