I saw that done with aerosol ether and a truck tire. The guy changing the flat sprayed ether inside, and I thought he was just cleaning the bead in an unusual way. I turned away just before he dropped the match. BOOM! I almost wore a neon lamp tube for a hat that day.

Kinda doubt OSHA is all about doing it that way, but it sure worked well that day, aside from the stains in my britches.
