When I was looking for a decent bike back in '81 I got a test ride on a used Honda 750 four cylinder. It was smooth but my gracious it was fast. It just wanted to fly over the road and it scared the bejeebers out of me. I ended up with a '79 Bonneville Special which I kept for 3 years and put over 35k miles on with zero repairs other than a clutch cable. What a machine! There are some around but they all want upwards of $4,000 for them.
