I thought Lets try a bit more.
Removed the pipes and at the inlet I drilled a 25mm hole through the cat, took a few goes as the hole saw kept filling up. the cat is about 8 - 9 cm deep, below this is the first baffle, I drilled it as well with the 25mm cutter.
After cleaning out all the bits of cat, I can now see daylight through the pipe, the middle baffle is still there but from each end the rest have been drilled, with the end one removed. I can see crescent daylight shape when looking through, the holes are slightly out of line.
Louder now, but a deeper tone than the short TORs not much in it though.
