Hi all. I won a set of EFI pipes on e-bay, so have been playing with them. I have an 07 carb UK bike, the pipes I won are of an 09 UK EFI I think.
I already have a set of short TORs but wanted something not so loud, so if you think the short TORs are not loud enough then this post is not up your street, but you may find the detail interesting, I also fancied the look of the full length pipes.
First to see if they fitted.
They did, there is a difference in the heat shield as you can see, I recon its not just for looks as the pipes get extremley hot at the join, probably due to the restriction they cause as standard.( ask me how I know

)
So on to the work, I used a 32mm (1 1/4) hole saw to remove the end plate and tube from the pipes, I am not calling this a baffle as the end tube lines up and actualy overlaps the exit pipe of the previous baffle.
My tip is to insert a piece of wood into the the outlet of the pipe to keep the holesaw located when drilling.
This is how easy it is to drill off the ends, battery drill, somebody to hold pipe, 32mm hole saw.
Video of drilling end out What you see now.
On to the next stage, drilling out a proper baffle, made up ,an extended hole saw.
video of baffle drilling out.And what you now see.
I tried them on and still thinking of going to the next baffle.
Sound Clip. I have left the cat in for now, I'm thinking there is not much of a reducer in the inlet to the pipes and the cat probably servs this purpose.
As I said just looking for a deeper sound, should I go one more???
