Bill's right... buffeting is caused by wind coming up from underneath the screen. The top has little to do with buffeting. Case in point... this year I installed a MS Big Shot. I found I didn't like looking through the screen so I cut it down to the point where I could look OVER the top. This mod made NO DIFFERENCE to wind around my head.
Before that I installed MS lowers... huge difference! Later I made up my own pair of lowers which ran from the bottom of the screen to the fork seals. Now that took care of virtually ALL turbulence including buffeting.
