#1 - Right Upper Arm - Originally just the heart with a Flying V guitar through it [you might recognize it as the old Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers logo](Good Time Charlie's Tattoo Land, Anaheim, CA), then after my divorce got it surounded with the flames and banners with my sons' names (Joel Long/Boulder Ink - Boulder, CO). #2 - Left Upper Arm - Human Torch/Johhny Storm (Lance Talon/Boulder Ink) - added the Japanese style water/waves later(Joel Long/Boulder Ink). #3 - right lower leg sleeve - Japanese Dragon with clouds, water and flowers (Joel Long/Boulder Ink). Still have about 3-4 hours left. It's officially an addiction now (and my Mom said I had a low pain threshold ). I'm already looking forward to the next one although I haven't figured out where it'll go or what it'll be yet. I'll know by the time I've saved up for it!

1. 1/2 skull length of underside of left forearm, 2. 1/3rd sleeve starting top of left deltoid, all around and down left arm to elbow - maori style design. 3. Small skull wrapped in bramble stuff on left forearm. 4. Sun on right deltoid (my first one!) 5. Viking type face on right biscep from shoulder to bend in elbow. 6. Group of 7 wierd skulls with worms and stuff (!) length of underside of right forearm. 6. Starburst thingy on right thumb (needs re-doing).
I go in next week to start on a full sleeve for the right arm.

I have a full sleeve on my left arm of Coop devil girls in varying positions (I know somebody's heard of him, he's a great artist) and a half sleeve of native designs on my right arm (which will be a finished full sleeve later this year).....if I knew how to attach photos to my posts, I would show some pics.....

Mark,
I can't believe you have a tattoo of the human torch. That's like one of the coolest tats ever. I think if I ever get a tattoo I'd design a yin-yang symbol with Supes on the light side and Bats on the dark, in the style of Alex Ross.

None yet, but planning on a skull with a mohawk. But, not just any skull with a mohawk, there is one I use to draw the side view of all the time in high school, I need someone to draw it as a 3/4 veiw.

I think I mentioned in another post that I was considering getting a tat of a Mohammed look alike on my left butt cheek in a pose that would appear as if he were kissing said butt cheek with his middle finger raised while riding a Harley. I would then post the image (complete with body part) on Al-Jazeera using my secret Chinese biker gang name, "Sum Yung Guy."

I generally tattoo 110-130 head of livestock every year. Not nearly as artistic as the stuff you guys have. Usually simple identification numbers in the left ear.
A local Harley guy with a needle thinks I need to get a tattoo??

I only have 3, a winged HD bar and shield logo on the left arm, an eagle pulling out of a dive on the right and, under that, a Hinkley Triumph logo.
In the plans is a wolf head on the back to commemorate the Indian name given me just after I bought my first Triumph,
wolf who runs alone with the wind. Not sure if the bike having a solo seat had anything to do with that.

Thanks John,
I grew up a comic book nut, still love 'em.
I originally wanted the Silver Surfer, I like the idea of the cosmic philosopher and he's a cool character, but they don't do silver in tatoos. So I went with the Human Torch because the FF were one of my faves, I like the "flame on" aspect as related to my character (have always had a bit of a temper being Italian-Irish), he's possibly the coolest Marvel character and I knew no one else would have one.
I think the Yin/Yang Batman/Superman thing sounds like a great idea. Love the Batman, will probably end up with one of those somewhere.

First one I got was at 16 (drunken bet! ) Panther & cobra having a fight on my right upper arm Next one wasn't untill I hit 45! Sun with a face & wifes name on left arm and this year a Triumph triangular logo with wings on left upper arm. Finally I want a lone wolf howling on a mountain.. I just love wolves, saw a timber wolf a few years ago, what a magical animal!

Have one, upper right arm. Did it myself at the ripe old age of 19 by using a mirror and my arm over the back of a chair. Used 2 needles tied with a thread ball for the slim lines and 6 needles for the shading. Looks exactly like this but without the musical notes and under shadow. It's faded and I keep saying I am going to get it fixed but who the hell remembers Mr. Natural from Zap Comics?? Well OK, I imagine a few of you do! But any tattoo artists? I doubt it....

What? NOT remember Mr. Natural!?!?!?! When I worked at a San Diego area head shop in the early to mid '70's (college days - it paid the bills), we maintained a nice collection of underground comics in our inventory. My favorites were "The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers" with their stoned merry madcap mis-adventures. Ahhhh, those were the days. Keep truckin'!

I have a tattoo of a fat hairy polack covering every square inch of my body. The likeness is remarkable. Didn't hurt at all, at least not that I remember - I got it nearly 39 years ago.
I got the same tattoo! I understand the needle used was enormous and inherited! Mine's 6 years older than yours and a work of art.

Ah yes. Phineas, Fat Freddy and Freewheelin' Franklin. Used to have the poster with the three walking away. You remember that one?

There are parts of this land where simply knowing the term "head shop" will get you 4-6 days in the lockup. If the kids today wandered into a 60-70's head shop, it would blow their feeble minds. Well, maybe not if they held their breath. You realize how long ago the 70's are, must be 10-15 years at least. Where does the time go???????

Got this first one at the Laconia Rally from a friend in NH who owns a tattoo parlor. Better late than never and something simple in black & gray shading.
