****** the florida bright bright sun.. twice now allmost blinded riding home from tampa.. forgot my shades..glasses didnt turn .. not facing the sun.. had to ride 30miles w/ one hand on the dash... blinded by the light.. lol dont have a place to pack my big shades..I-4 is dangerous enough w/ two hands.. lmao... ideas ??

Who was it recently that had the idea of covering the console with leather? I think that would look great!

my lady would kick my ******... thought about blacking it out .. i think a leather cover ..or bra would be real real sweet.. thanks .. still open to ideas...

Naugahyde and a razor blade. Just cut it out and flip over the console with a few cutouts for the idiot lights. Or maybe a piece of clear vinyl with a non glare finish on one side and a mild adhesive on the other. Ideas from a cheapskate.

Ask dirtbikedennis, he's doing the leather option on his.

she agreed a safty issue is big.. I won the discussion .. allmost .. told me i could go w/ the black dash..but she wants a new piece of chrome to offset her lose... lmao .. told her to go find me a nice used set of cam covers .. thanks for all the input. .and soon have her done right ..

just an update .. my lady agreed.. wow ..that blacked out was ok.. safty issues and all.. but tricky little lady that she is .. told me .. one piece of chrome off. one on.. lmao.. anybody got a chrome cam cover ?? .. lmao.. !!!!

Thanks Jim... finish this thread.. recoated the dash you sent.. switched it over this morning.. and much much better.. it feels like 100 degrees or better today .. rolled her outside..even the lady likes.. not that she has an option.. all better . thanks again !!!

It's not the first time I painted one... the 06 (RIP) had a matt black one this a splattering of glitter paint. It sounds worse than it looked! On the flame tank it actually looked pretty good. However I can't find any pictures...
