So this is another turn signal question.... I added LED signals at all four corners and changed my flasher relay to a trico ep-36. When I try to use the signals I get nothing..... when the signal is used ie the left side would go to 7.15v and not illuminate at all. Both sides act the same way.... on the relay i have a ground,12v,7v on the terminals. I removed the small halogen indicator on the console. The led bulbs run great when hooked up to a 12v source so I know they work. The only thing that is halogen on the bike is the headlight and the taillight. Thanks in advance

I put LEDs on all 4 corners and kept the stock flasher but added a load resistor to the circuit available anywhere you can get Drag Specialties and V Twin stuff made just for that purpose. They work perfectly.

I'm not sure why the new LED signals didn't work with the new flasher unit. Others have done it by keeping the existing flasher, then adding load resistors to the signal light circuit. But I'm thinkin' somehow along the way you ended up with the wrong flasher unit. Here is one which apparently DOES work.

Maybe it's your flasher. I used a flasher from SuperBrightLEDS and it worked great. CF13GL-02 I think.

I didn't have to remove my dash indicator either, not sure if you have to with the new flasher or not. I remember some posted about having to remove it but don't remember why.

I had to takle the dash indicator out. Otherwise all four signals flashed at the same time.

I think if that little dash indicator was LED it would have worked.

No, it's the way that it is wired. Sandman had a really good explanation written up a few years ago about it. Solution is either take out the indicator bulb or build a rectifier. I chose the easy way, especially since I can see my signals blink, when they are blinking.

The flasher indicator is wired between the hot leads from the opposing indicator lights so I'd remove that first to see if it's the problem. On my bike I used a pair of superbright LEDs wired to match the polarities to replace my indicator, one LED for each side inside the single housing.
Then, I'd check the flasher unit you've got to insure the leads match up to the socket on the bike. FWIW: I had to rewire my running light socket to match an aftermarket relay so I already know nothing's really standardized in that respect.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)
