Hi all a very new rider here have just bought a 2005 Triumph America and I have found that the Speedometer cable clip on mudgard is broken. It is made of rubber but I cant seem to find on anywhere to replace it. A chrome wone would look very nice with a rubber insert so not to rub the cable. If any one know were I could get either a standard one of a Chorme one I would be very grateful.

British Customs has one too, and so do a couple of other places.

If you're looking for a cheaper route, there's always P-clamps from your local hardware store. They work great and will never break. I found one that is stainless with black rubber that actually looks like it's supposed to be there.

A stainless clevice from a boat supply place is another good looking and functional option. Put it through a stainless eye screw.

That's a good idea, Ian. I may just change mine out to that if I find a good one at my local boat supply.

The dang thing was missing on my bike when I bought it with only 1200 miles on it!!! Of course I've since turfed the cable entirely as I went with a magnet driven speedo. I keep trying to come up with a clever way to cover that hole!
Live to love, love to live.

This is the one you're thinking of Ian.I made this from a stainless steel shackle, acorn nut,one bolt two flat washers and a connector for threaded rod.Cost about $6.00. I'm going to make up another one and post pics as I go in case anyone would like to copy it. Charlie.
Just an old Hippie and I don"t know what to do.
