Well, my youngest of two daughters graduated from college on Saturday. We loaded all the stuff from her 3rd floor dorm that evening and headed home this morning. She has a teaching degree from Franciscan University in Steubenville OH and I have a big bill to pay....

She'll be home for the summer, than hopefully get a teaching gig in the Fall. She's looking in New Orleans at some Catholic schools there. Hopefully something that pays.

So, while that was my last move from a dorm, I guess it will be apartments/homes next....

Very cool. Good luck to her finding work, here in St. Louis there are a lot of unemployed teachers for some reason...

Same here, our county had 100 jobs open last year for teachers with 1,500 applicants. She wants to work anywhere but here, so hopefully something transpires. She really wants to teach a private Catholic school, but may not be able to be that chosey (Franciscan is a Catholic college, she's pretty devout, which didn't come from me or her mother!)
It was a bit strange hanging out with Franciscan friars, monks and nuns for the weekend, but those are her friends!

Al--you're a good dad! All the best to your daughter in her job search. I'm sure she'll find something she enjoys and finds rewarding!

Congratulations & all the best to your daughter,

Does this make you a dues paying member of the adult world Al?

As far as her mother and I are concerned, SHE's now a full dues paying adult. IE: car payment, insurance, expenses are all hers! Welcome to the real world! (well, as soon as she gets employment...)

Her older sister took a job in PA and moved out a few weeks ago, back to status quo!

Great picture of a very proud family. Here's hoping everything works out beautifully for your daughter.

Cool picture. If she's gonna work for the parochial system, she's not gonna make a living, I doubt. There are usually some openings in bigger cities, and the south, especially Texas, but a lot of those schools require protective gear! I admire her choice and I wish her luck!

Congratulation to you and your daughter! I think that's great that she is combining her work with her faith.
