Thanks everyone for your help in my other thread (Thinking about it). With all your advice, thoughts and concerns I decided not to buy the Killjoy (Gilroy) Indian. What made the decision easier was I found a....

That's right, I bought a 2002 Trophy!!! I've always wanted onE and when this one popped up on the radar screen I jumped on it. It came up from the States with only 14,000 miles on it!! And it has MORE POWER!

The only snag is, it is down on Vancouver Island so I got to figure out a way of getting it home. Anyone from the Wet Coast wanna ride 'er out for me? I'll fly you home at no cost!!

I'm a happy camper. More power, still a Triumph and it's gonna be comfy behind that fairing. It even has heated grips!!

Well that'll certainly get ya to anywhere you'll stick that pin in any ol' map, alright! Looks brand new. Nice bike, Keith!

(...though its certainly not much in the "Deco" vein, like that Indian or your BA...or all those old Beemers you're always lusting over around here)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Reviews I'm reading are fantastic!! Apparently she pulls real hard. Now I will be able to pass on the mountain passes with little hesitation!! But yeah, she's not the 'looker' the BA is or that Indian. But nicer looking than the R1150RT BMW I figure.

Interesting I bought it sight unseen. It's the Triumph trust thing. The dealership that sold it to me ran the annual Nelson Rat RAID the last few years which pretty much makes them 'family.' The sales guy said he's had 3 of those bikes and loved them all. Says they are a very good investment and that this one has no surprises. I simply... believed him!!

You gotta wonder why Triumph stopped making them, they are very popular with owners.

Good luck and ride safe!

Thats a nice bike.
I will be on Vancouver Island last week in June, traveling back to Calgary. Just let me know where to drop it off.
I'll make sure I return it with a full tank.

I live exactly 1/2 way between those two points. Drop it off at my house... I'll have a couple of cool ones waiting for you when you get here!

Congrats Keith! Man, I would consider flying there, riding it to you and fly home from BC. Just because it would be a good time. I'm available next week.

I saw one of these the other day, darker green though

The guy on it seemed quite happy, but then again it was a sunny day and he was on a bike, and I wasn't

I hear they move like greased lightening. And a 6 speed gear box... gotta like that. Yup I'll let you know how she goes. And only 14,000 miles too. Dang... I gotta get that thing home somehow soon.

Congrats! The photo doesn't do that bike justice, they are beautiful in person, very impressive. Road to Baxter Cycle last Aug. with a group that included a couple riding a BRG Trophy 1200, awesome bike. The Triumph truck was there, but there was always a crowd around that Trophy.

I believe it was a manufacturing decision, as the Trophy 1200 has a 4 cylinder engine and Triumph decided to stick with the triples development.

Well done Keith,

Those Trophies are very nice motorbikes . So which one will you take to Nelson this July??

You realize now being the proud owner of Two (2) Triumphs, you should be giving serious consideration to finishing the attached carport into a proper enclosed/weatherized garage. It's only right, think of the kids

Dang that is tempting! If my Trophy can't stop... heck, I'll go along for the ride. Would be cool to ride into Wawa on two wheels again. It's been a while!! Thanks Bill!!!

It's a tough wait to go down and get the bike. Might just go down with Darrow (you met him with me in Nelson last year) on the back of his Venture Royale on the weekend. Will keep you posted, and thanks for the offers!!!!

When ya win a Trophy, ya have to show it off!!

Hey Keith, I just picked one up myself. An 02 green, with 28,000 miles, a few light scratches etc, from being dropped ina driveway ( then painted over in non matching paint :-( got it for what I thought was a steal at $3500 bucks.
